Given the great experience I had with the F-150, I decided to get the F-150 of SUV's, the Expedition. The ride is 50% smoother than the F-150, and the turning radius is greatly improved, although this could be due to the shorter wheel base.
It can fit seven adults comfortably (when my kids aren't in car seats), but by the time they are grown I will likely have a new car anyways. This is our dedicated family-mobile, which means it's my wife's car, and she seems to like it.
It's not easy loading an 80lbs dog and two kids in car seats, but I think it was the best choice among cars that fit into my garage.
PROs
Extremely smooth driving and steering
It's the size of a tank, so you feel safe
White-on-white looks super slick
Great in all weather conditions
Super comfy for long road trips
FX4 comes with underbody projection
Best tow vehicle I have had
CONs
With the 3rd row seat up, the trunk is the size of my back pocket - essentially pointless
Captain's chairs are great in theory, unless you have two kids in car seats
