Deciding to get involved in track days and ice racing didn't require that I get a trailer, but it will make my life a lot easier! Ice racing is anywhere from a 4-6 hour drive and track days will be roughly 4 hours away.
The biggest incentive to getting a trailer was if anything were to happen to the car during an event. Finding a "cheap" tow for 4-6 hours wouldn't be likely and I am sure it would have been at time and a half...ouch!
As I will be towing during winter, I had to go with aluminum (increased the price 3-4x) so it won't rust away in one winter!
